Don't normally remember my dreams...
I didn't really remember too much about last nights, other than a few snippets, and the premise of one.
Snippet 1: Was trying to blow up a gasoline truck with a small charage, though the truck was empty, so the explosion, while big sounding, really wasn't that bad or anything, just a hollow, scary boom to scare people who were chasing me. The thing was, it felt so rehearsed, as if I'd done it many, many times before. Same place, same truck, same enemies.. the problem was that the escape route that I 'usually' took was fenced off 'this time' and I was confused.
Snippet 2: Was reading manga for some reason on a busride through nowhere, and my dad laughed and asked "Is that one of those [...] books?" I don't remember what [...] was, but it was something just.. completely absurd, something only someone in a dream would say. Of course, when I realized this, I woke up to my alarm going off.
Premise: Post-apocalyptic non-Earth world with only a few bands of people remaining and cities untouched and empty. There were these stylized statues of animals everywhere, and if you broke one by throwing it on the ground with a certain intent, the 'totem' animal or whatever would appear and offer its assistance. Most of these animals were helpful One, who was usually a dog of some sort named Portée would lick at your cheeks and ears if something bad was going to happen. But one, Caiaphas (hahaha) was corrupted and would do everything in its power not to help, though it seemed like it was restricted by a higher force to do only good, so it relied on giving the advice at the wrong time or clumsily tripping the user up. It was a moose, but would sometimes show up as a lion to be threatening. I remember trying to get in contact with someone across the city by kicking a similar statue of Buddha up onto a spire so that they could use it as a landmark. Hmm. Sounds like an anime or something. This may have led to Snippet 2.
