It mostly fits, too, but I would argue that it also implies some remnant of humanity other than those within the System have (the creation of new, unique post-humans springs to mind). They are something <em>more</em>. They are something <em>different</em>. They are exohumans, perhaps. Post-biological. The language fails.</p>
