<p>I’m out at the Cat now, taking pictures with my new Yashica GSN and <lj user="malameux"></lj>‘s old Canonet 28. The only problem I’ve run into with the GSN is that, when I reached the end of the roll partway through the crank, I couldn’t return the film advance lever back to its original position. I tried just pressing the film rewind button to see if I could just rewind the film from there, but I guess there was too much tension in the film, so I had to finish the advance and <s>break the tape holding the film to the spool</s> tear and nearly shatter the stupid film inside the camera.. Oh well. I’ll have to unload it in the darkroom, load it back up on the spool and into the casing again, try to get it sealed, and then send it in. Sigh. It’d be nice to have a full color darkroom, but that’s another couple hundred dollars.</p>

<p>The Canonet’s pretty nifty. Simple, to be sure, and inflexible, but for just a point-and-shoot rangefinder, it passes. :o</p>
